There is access for larger vehicles from North Parade via Bath City Leisure Centre. There is also an entrance for small to medium sized vehicles from William Street, off Pulteney Street. It is advisable that you organise for tracking to be put down in order to limit rutting to the ground.

There is a designated car park capable of holding approximately 110 cars. If necessary, it may sometimes be possible to negotiate further parking with the other facilities surrounding the recreation ground.

11.   What will be the terms and conditions of hiring the site for my event?

You will need to supply your event management plan, full risk assessments for all activities planned on site as part of your event and details of your PLI cover for a minimum of £5 million. We will then issue a full land hire agreement for you to sign and return to confirm your booking of the site.

Users are expected to return the site and its facilities in the condition that they receive them in. This includes tidying up any mess created in the Cricket Pavilion. A £500 bond is held by Bath and North East Somerset Council as a deposit against damages caused and any reinstatement that needs to be carried out following the event. You should be cautious when using vehicles on the ground, especially in wet weather as this can cause bad rutting which will need reinstating, with the cost borne by the event organiser.

Event organisers are expected to use the areas of the grounds they have permission to and within the time period they have hired the ground for.

Health and Safety should also be properly considered and monitored at all times.
